Idea: This sculptur is a form of abstract writing in space. It also combines performace and installation. Based on a sculpture by Jean-Marie Mathot and a graphity on this work, I extended his sculpture and the writing process further into the space and therefor into the urban environment. I see this acts of communication - the sculpture of Mathot, the graphity and my abstract writing - reflected in Roland Barthe‘s écriture. In Barthe‘s écriture the material base of literature becomes a method it self. In this case the performative part lies in the gesture of abstract writing - in particular in the making of this sculpture in space - where writing becomes a combination of body, sign and technique.
